My client is a fast-growing Irish technology company operating in the loyalty and rewards space, helping consumers get more value from their everyday spending while connecting businesses with customers in new ways.

The business has built a rapidly growing consumer platform with a large user base and thousands of participating businesses across Ireland and the UK. It is now investing further in consumer growth and wants social media to become a much bigger part of how people discover, understand and engage with the brand.

They are looking for an upbeat, creative and highly social Social & Content Creator who can become one of the public faces of the company and bring the brand to life online.

About the Role

This is not a traditional social media role where you inherit a calendar and spend your week scheduling posts.

You will be creating the content.

You will be on camera regularly, explaining the product in a simple and engaging way, capturing real customer stories, showing what happens behind the scenes and finding entertaining ways to bring the company, its people and its community into the content.

The style will be natural, fast-moving and social-first rather than highly produced. Much of the content will be self-shot and self-edited, so you need to be comfortable picking up a camera or phone, developing an idea and turning it into something ready to publish.

You will have considerable autonomy over what gets created. The company wants someone who brings ideas rather than waits for briefs, understands what is happening culturally on social media and is willing to experiment with new formats.

When something works, you will develop it further and adapt it across other channels.

Just as importantly, you need a naturally upbeat and engaging personality. You should be warm, relatable and confident on camera without feeling overly polished or performative.

Responsibilities

  • Become one of the recognisable faces of the brand across TikTok, Instagram and other relevant social channels.
  • Develop, film and edit engaging short-form social content.
  • Create regular content around how the product works, customer experiences, partner businesses, team life and behind-the-scenes activity.
  • Develop recurring formats such as day-in-the-life content, explainers, customer stories and reactive social content.
  • Own the day-to-day social content calendar and publishing schedule.
  • Generate your own ideas for content, campaigns and social formats.
  • Spot emerging social trends and identify opportunities for the brand to participate in them in a credible way.
  • Create UGC-style content that feels natural and native to each platform.
  • Work with colleagues across the business and encourage the wider team to participate in content.
  • Create content outside the office with customers, partner businesses and members of the wider community.
  • Engage with followers through comments, replies and reactive content.
  • Experiment continually with hooks, formats and creative approaches and quickly build on what performs well.
  • Repurpose successful ideas and content across different channels.
  • Track the performance of content and understand which activity is contributing to awareness, engagement, app downloads and new users.
  • Work with creators, partners and other external contributors where appropriate.
  • Help develop a distinctive and recognisable social personality for the brand.

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing social media for a brand is essential.
  • You must be comfortable appearing regularly on camera and becoming a visible representative of the brand.
  • A naturally upbeat, warm and engaging personality is important for this role.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, short-form video and current social media culture.
  • Experience creating, filming and editing your own social content.
  • Ability to take an idea from concept through filming and editing to publication without relying on a production team.
  • Strong creative instincts and the confidence to suggest and test your own ideas.
  • Ability to communicate a product or concept simply and make it interesting to a broad consumer audience.
  • Good understanding of what makes social content feel authentic rather than overly produced or corporate.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work with a high degree of independence.
  • Strong awareness of emerging formats, trends and changes in social behaviour.
  • An interest in understanding the commercial impact of content rather than focusing solely on likes, views and follower numbers.

Desirable

  • Experience creating social content for a consumer, lifestyle, fitness, food, retail or technology brand would be particularly relevant.
  • Experience creating UGC-style content or working directly with creators would be useful.
  • Experience producing social content designed to drive customer acquisition, downloads or another measurable commercial outcome would be an advantage.
  • A portfolio or social channels demonstrating strong short-form content creation would be highly beneficial.

The Opportunity

This is a particularly good opportunity for someone who already knows how to create strong brand social content but wants considerably more creative ownership.

You will be joining a young, lively team where people across the business are willing to get involved in content and where ideas can move quickly from suggestion to execution.

There is very little interest in creating polished corporate social media for the sake of it. The aim is to produce content that feels human, useful, entertaining and distinctive enough that people actually want to watch it.

The person joining will have the freedom to experiment, find the formats that work and help shape the social identity of a rapidly growing consumer brand.

There is also genuine scope for the role to develop as the company grows, with the potential to progress into broader ownership of social strategy and ultimately a Social Media Manager or Head of Social position.
