About the Role

My client is seeking to appoint a Vice President of Sales to lead global sales strategy and execution across all active markets. This is a senior leadership position reporting into executive management, with full accountability for new business performance, pipeline health, and revenue growth.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on deal involvement. The successful candidate will be expected to shape sales strategy, build and lead high-performing teams, and personally engage in complex, high-value commercial discussions. This is not a purely oversight role — it requires an executive who remains close to customers, opportunities, and the realities of closing business.

The position operates within a remote-first working model, with regular travel required to support customers, teams, and commercial initiatives across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Revenue Ownership

  • You will take full ownership of sales performance across all markets, including pipeline development, forecasting accuracy, and revenue delivery. This includes accountability for both individual and team targets, ensuring consistent execution against agreed growth objectives.
  • You will lead by example, remaining actively involved in priority deals, key negotiations, and senior client engagements. Maintaining a personal contribution to revenue generation will be an important part of the role, alongside building a scalable sales organisation.

Team Development & Sales Operations

  • A core responsibility will be the recruitment, development, and leadership of a high-performing sales team. You will establish clear structures, performance standards, and best practices across territories, ensuring consistency in how opportunities are qualified, progressed, and closed.
  • You will introduce and refine sales processes, tooling, and reporting frameworks to improve visibility, predictability, and conversion rates across the funnel.

Market Expansion & Business Development

  • The VP of Sales will play a central role in identifying new market opportunities, customer segments, and routes to growth. This includes evaluating market dynamics, shaping go-to-market strategies, and driving disciplined new business acquisition in competitive environments.
  • You will work closely with senior stakeholders to prioritise focus areas and ensure sales efforts align with broader commercial and product strategies.

Strategic Accounts & Commercial Execution

  • You will retain direct involvement in the management and development of strategically important accounts, overseeing account planning, proposal development, and long-term growth strategies. This includes responsibility for major tenders, complex deal structures, and multi-market agreements.
  • Close collaboration with Marketing, Product, and Client teams will be required to ensure propositions are clearly articulated and effectively positioned.

Executive Representation & Market Presence

  • As a senior commercial leader, you will represent the business externally at industry events, customer forums, and senior-level meetings. You will contribute to shaping how the company is perceived in the market, acting as a credible and confident commercial spokesperson.

The Person

  • My client is seeking an experienced senior sales leader with a strong track record of delivering sustained revenue growth within B2B, subscription-based, or technology-led environments. You will have demonstrable experience building and leading sales teams across multiple regions, consistently achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • You will bring a balance of strategic thinking and practical execution — comfortable setting direction, but equally willing to engage directly in deal-making. Strong commercial judgement, resilience, and the ability to operate in fast-moving, performance-driven environments are essential.
  • You should be confident working at executive and board level, with the presence and communication skills to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally. A data-driven mindset, combined with strong instincts for market dynamics and competitive positioning, will be critical to success.
