Role Overview

As Senior Designer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering brand-driven design across a variety of client engagements. Working alongside senior leadership and collaborating with cross-discipline teams, you will take ownership of major design briefs—from concept through to execution—while mentoring more junior designers and helping maintain the studio’s high standard of craft. You will combine strategic thought with strong visual execution to build memorable brand experiences that work beautifully in the real world.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design projects end-to-end: from briefing, research and concept development to production, delivery and post-launch review.
  • Develop high-level brand work including identity systems, packaging, digital design, environmental graphics and marketing collateral, ensuring every outcome reflects the studio’s dedication to form, feeling and function.
  • Translate complex ideas into strong visual concepts; present design solutions clearly and confidently to internal stakeholders, clients and external partners.
  • Work closely with production teams and external suppliers to ensure design integrity, accuracy of specification, and high standards of finish.
  • Mentor, support and review the work of junior and mid-level designers—fostering their growth, providing constructive feedback and helping embed best practice across the team.
  • Actively collaborate with account, strategy and digital teams to ensure designs align with business objectives, brand tone and target audiences.
  • Stay abreast of design tools, techniques and industry trends—championing innovation within the studio and ensuring that the work remains relevant and forward-thinking.
  • Contribute to studio culture and process improvement: share learnings, identify efficiencies, support the refinement of workflows and help maintain the agency’s reputation for excellence.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in a creative design studio or agency environment, working on brand identity, packaging or digital design for consumer-facing brands.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking, compelling visual design and the ability to deliver high-quality execution across multiple media.
  • Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and confidence with digital design tools; experience with motion design is a plus.
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and walking clients through your design rationale and process.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in parallel, meeting deadlines and delivering work to budget and spec.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills; able to build relationships across teams and support less-experienced colleagues.
  • A passion for detail and craft—demonstrating impeccable finish and consistency in all design work.
  • A proactive, creative problem-solver who enjoys digging beneath the surface of a brief and uncovering the unique voice of each brand.

Desirable—but not essential

  • Experience of motion graphics, animation or interactive design.
  • Exposure to packaging and print production workflows.
  • Understanding of environmental graphics or spatial design.
  • Previous work with food & drink, retail or fast-moving consumer brands (an advantage given our client portfolio).
