We're working with an innovative CleanTech company to find a motivated, customer-focused Business Development Manager with a passion for the environment and making a difference to works with their clients to identify the right products and solutions to address their ESG and sustainability objectives.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying potential business opportunities, developing strategies to increase revenue and market share, and client acquisition.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential business opportunities and develop relationships with key decision-makers in target industries
  • Demonstrate business acumen and strategic thinking, contributing ideas that help drive our commercial success
  • Manage complex enterprise sales within manufacturing (coatings & automotive)
  • Be customer-obsessed, driving exceptional customer value and outcomes across the product development and account management processes
  • Manage the entire sales process providing all requested information, including preparation and provision of commercial proposals
  • Conclude commercial agreements with clients and partners, with assistance from senior management in more complex deal negotiation and contract development
  • Support sales enablement and marketing initiatives around brand awareness, market positioning and demand generation
  • Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to trends, emerging technologies, and competitors

Requirements:

  • Five to ten years of proven business development and sales experience (ideally in sustainability and/or manufacturing)
  • Proven track record of selling high-value solution-based products or services
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, sense of responsibility and willingness to take initiative
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or CRM and sales technology
  • Ready to work hard and bring your expertise to increase sales pipeline
  • Results-driven, action-oriented, and self-directed
  • Always innovating - never satisfied with the status quo
  • Brilliant with people and enjoy working with customers
  • A critical thinker with strong business and commercial acumen
  • Ability to travel
