We are seeking a Content Editor to integrate into the team of a leading Irish parenting website and other websites on their portfolio.

Under the guidance of the Head of Content, this position demands an adept editor capable of curating vibrant, captivating, and tailor-made content for their website. 

****Contract Duration: 12 months, covering maternity leave, with potential for permanent placement thereafter.****

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a team of 2 journalists while offering motivation and coaching to them.
  • Identify key subjects and topics that will resonate with the audience.
  • Source trending content with a view to driving website traffic.
  • Generate original, engaging content ideas for articles. Commission content from expert parenting contributors
  • Assign and delegate content assignments to the team.
  • Analyse content performance, reporting to the Head of Content.
  • Ensure that published content adheres to SEO guidelines.
  • Social media management.
  • Create email copy for weekly newsletters.
  • Coach, motivate and mentor the journalists.
  • Keep up to date with new trends in web technology.

 Requirements:    

  • Marketing or similar background is a plus
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • You have an interest in parenting content.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and photoediting software.
  • Knowledge of content management systems.
  • Keen interest and experience in SEO.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, accuracy, attention to detail and writing skills are essential for this role.
