We are currently seeking an experienced Account Director to join a prestigious global media and communications agency. Our client is highly regarded for its data-driven methodologies and expertise in strategic insights. They assist businesses in navigating dynamic media landscapes, implementing impactful advertising campaigns, and achieving measurable results. As an Account Director, you will play a crucial role in leading the team, ensuring the creation of high-quality work, and delivering exceptional client service. This senior position encompasses responsibilities similar to those of a Business Director and offers opportunities for progression within the senior management level. 

Collaborating with the senior management team, you will actively engage the teams in executing the client development plan. Building strong external relationships with clients and their agency partners will be key to understanding the broader marketing process and providing optimal client solutions. Responsibilities: 

  • Take charge of strategizing for all briefs and the annual communications plan (including both current clients and new business ventures), demonstrating proactive and cohesive planning that encompasses all communication channels. 
  • Encourage the exploration of unconventional methods and planning tools within the industry, ensuring the team leverages them innovatively to develop insightful strategies and plans.  
  • Recognize opportunities for Specialists to contribute value to clients' businesses and facilitate meaningful introductions.  
  • Take ownership of comprehending and actively engaging in work streams related to Programmatic Planning, Data, Tools, Technology, Analytics, and Digital Campaign Strategy for your clients. 
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the client's development plans and involve the wider team in executing those plans.  
  • Exert leadership in managing the financial aspects of clients' accounts, ensuring prompt resolution of aged debt, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring the team follows an efficient and transparent process.  
  • Demonstrate a keen awareness of the financial landscape pertaining to your clients, including the scope and terms of business, income, profitability, and forecasting. 
  • Collaborate with clients' partner agencies in a manner that strikes a balance between cooperation and constructive criticism.  
  • Offer to contribute as a member of a pitch team and/or internal agency work streams voluntarily.  
  • Be capable of coaching, mentoring, and developing the core staff within your responsibility.  
  • Establish benchmarks for the quality of work produced by you and your team, and identify potential award-winning projects at an early stage, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are informed.  
  • Acquire knowledge of the commercial agenda and contractual obligations of clients and develop strategies and plans that align with and deliver against them. 

Requirements: 

  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of various media channels and other relevant marketing channels pertaining to clients' businesses.  
  • A basic understanding of the role of procurement and auditors within the client's business, as well as the information they require.  
  • Exhibit self-awareness and effectively manage individuals with different personalities in a productive manner.  
  • Act as an ambassador for the company, both internally and externally.  
  • Comprehend the preferred communication style of clients and ensure that team interactions align with this strategy to facilitate efficient and receptive communication. 
  • Ability to expand influence by mentoring individuals outside your team.  
  • Articulate fluently the current commercials, challenges, and opportunities of your clients' businesses, and proactively suggest ways to enhance profitability.  
  • Have a deep understanding of the client's business and expertise to cultivate strong relationships and maintain regular contact.
