Are you an experienced Marketing Manager with a passion for education? 

Our client is an established private education centre that provides focused, flexible, and complete education for Leaving Cert students. The Marketing Manager will oversee the planning and carrying out of all marketing and communications initiatives for The Institute of Education.

To help the school's commercial goals, the marketing manager and marketing team collaborate closely with the commercial team. As part of the selection process, you will be able to provide examples of your strengths in campaign, budget, team, project, and brand management.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Define and implement a communications and strategic marketing plan aligned with overarching corporate goals.
  • Construct and put into action all marketing initiatives geared toward consumers as well as long-term strategic development of The Institute of Education brand, sub-brands, and brand positioning.
  • Effectively oversee and execute marketing and communications campaigns following predetermined metrics.
  • Take proactive steps to manage every digital channel, including the website (User Experience, Content Management, SEO), social media platforms, paid search, etc. ensuring that they meet the set goals, audiences are properly targeted, and all communications are current, pertinent, and efficient.
  • Communicate with senior managers and collaborate closely with them to guarantee coordinated, effective, and on-brand events that support the school's commercial and marketing goals. 
  • Ongoing management and evaluation of external partners and agencies (including creative, digital, advertising, print and photography) to ensure projects and materials are managed effectively and within budget. 
  • Act as brand custodian across all Institute of Education brands and corporate identity. 
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with national media and key influencers (especially education correspondents) and maintain a relevant education/media database. 
  • Manage and mentor Marketing Department personnel as appropriate. 
  • Organise and coordinate promotional events for The Institute. 
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the School Principal. 

Skills and Requirements 

  • Degree in business, marketing, or communications, or another comparable credential.
  • At least 7 years of experience in marketing communications roles, with at least 3 of those years spent successfully leading a team with a variety of responsibilities. 
  • Proven track record of executing integrated marketing initiatives and high impact brand promotions.
  • Experience inspiring and managing cross-functional teams both internally and outside while working at a high level within an organisation.
  • The position holder must be able to engage and lead staff across The Institute as well as influence and lead at a senior level. 
  • Effective organisational skills and sound managerial judgement. 
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise activities to meet deadlines and a demanding workload 
  • Proven networking and influencing skills
