The successful applicant for this role will manage both an in-house team and third-party agencies, and the role requires a commercially minded professional with a solid record in delivering challenging eCommerce goals from a technical, CRO, and user experience perspective.

Reporting to the Directors, the successful candidate will own and manage the full range of the brand’s online user experience covering design, content, branding/marketing, performance, and functionality to deliver the best online customer experience.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with the outsourced development team to troubleshoot issues and also formulate, develop and test new/enhanced product initiatives.
  • Ensuring analytics insights are constantly used to optimize onsite journeys.
  • Analysing eCommerce Sales and Margin and optimise based on findings.
  • Ensuring consistent reviews and enhancements of website content and user experience to drive frequency of visits, effective product cross-selling, and increased basket AOV.
  • Working cross-departmentally with the customer care team to ensure consistently high satisfaction levels and with the Marketing team in developing and executing promotional calendars and campaigns.
  • Project managing key development projects ensuring robust testing.
  • Developing the eCommerce team to enhance and broaden their skills and effectiveness in their roles.
  • Managing the brand’s social media and customer care team.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with existing product/service partners.
  • Identifying the opportunities for improvement in existing department processes and work practices.
  • Managing annual and weekly promotional planning processes with buying and senior management team.
  • Optimising PPC and paid Social Media campaigns. 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience within an eCommerce or Digital development role in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science or Digital Marketing with eCommerce management experience.
  • You’ll be an effective communicator with the skills to constructively challenge key business stakeholders.
  • A proactive results-orientated individual with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics, SEO, CRO, UX optimization, and tag management is desirable.
  • Strong technical proficiency with enterprise-level CMSs, web design, and user experience.
  • Prior experience using Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience handling Amazon and third-party marketplace projects.
  • Proficiency in building and managing relationships with external agencies, suppliers, and partners.
  • You’ll have a solid track record of managing a team in a commercial performance-orientated environment.
