Product Marketing Consultant
We currently have a great opportunity for a proven Product Marketing Consultant to join an exciting client start-up venture which is a big data software platform spin out from a recognised global industry leader.
They are seeking an experienced consultant to help support and build a strategic and product marketing function.
Our client will be providing outsourced marketing services to the start-up venture and will be acting as a core part of their team; therefore, this is a key role and a great opportunity for a highly capable Product Marketing Consultant to make an impact.
The ideal person for this role will have a strong background in high-tech marketing, understanding both markets and customers, the technologies that meet their needs, and how to create propositions from the intersection between these two. The successful candidate will either have a background in the hi-tech industry, probably with some start up experience, or in a fast-moving consulting environment.
Applicants Should Have Strong Abilities in the Following:
Product Marketing Experience - the ability to understand and deliver a product marketing function in a high-tech and high-concept marketplace
Market Strategy - researching and building propositions that connect the core products with offers that make sense to our target customers - requires market and competitor analysis, to develop propositions and insights that will drive product and company direction
Product Strategy - Proactively identify and map market trends into data that can usefully drive the company's product strategy. Including requirements gathering, road-mapping, feature set creation, and contributing to overall product direction and propositions
Digital communications experience in the delivery of large-scale global campaigns, content management, brand development, and demand generation
Agency collaboration - working with third parties to deliver graphic content, online platforms, published content, and digital artefacts.
Content generation - in all the above, you will be proficient at working with content in various stages of development and bringing it to a finished state for both external and internal consumption.
Consulting skills - the ability to apply your knowledge of the product and the market to initiate and develop value-add concepts and initiatives to our client, including process improvement, product ideation, and other strategic initiatives.
Communication skills - You will facilitate the Product Marketing function by acting as a critical conduit across the organisation, with the ability to work with and influence cross-departmental teams in global locations, to create and make presentations, and provide concise updates on progress in a collaborative team environment
