RTE has launched a free iPhone application of RTE News Now in Ireland. The RTE News Now iPhone application allows iPhone or iPod Touch users to watch RTE News Now, the 24 hour live and looped RTE News channel, and to keep up to date with the latest news, business, sport and entertainment stories from RTE.ie. Muirne Laffan, Executive Director of RTE Publishing says "With a growing appetite for news on the move amongst commuters, the RTE News Now application means users can catch-up on the latest news stories in text and video at any time over their iphone or ipod touch. The app is free and very user-friendly and will keep people in the know at all times."
