'Herlihy Communications has been appointed by 3 Ireland to handle PR and media for the 3 Irish Open this year, following a competitive pitch process. This follows O'Herlihy Communications successful management of last year's event. The 3 Irish Open will take place at the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club from the 29th July to the 1st August 2010. This is 3's second year as title sponsors of the 3 Irish Open following the huge success of last year's 3 Irish Open at Baltray Golf Club in County Louth. The event's new prime slot on the European Tour over the August Bank Holiday weekend elevates the 3 Irish Open to the position of one of the most prestigious tournaments in European golf. The event will be staged on the Killeen course, just weeks before the naming of the European Ryder Cup team is sure to attract golf's marquee names to the County Kerry venue.
