Denny live ad was Ireland's first

Denny live ad was Ireland's first 2010-01-06

The O Mara family from Lucan in Dublin made TV history on Christmas Day as they broadcast live to the nation on TV3 with Denny. Denny and TV3 staged an ambitious live feature advert during the Christmas episode of Coronation Street, which always draws in record viewership numbers. Denny took over the entire 3 minutes of the 7.09pm commercial break to enable the O Mara family to broadcast live from their home and speak to the people of Ireland, sharing their thoughts on what home means to them at Christmas and year round. Catherine O Mara said. "This was the best Christmas we've ever had. It was so exciting to have TV crews in our home, to record VTs like they do on X Factor, and to actually broadcast live.yes live on air! We didn't feel that nervous, as there was no script, nothing in particular that we needed to say or do - we were just told to be ourselves! I hope we brought a little bit Christmas cheer to everyone out there. Home is important to be able to come in and feel relaxed. We're very proud of our girls, they're such happy kids, they make us happy parents. It was their idea to get involved in this ad so I guess it's our Christmas present to them."
