There is no established path into the marketing world. Many people will find that a sales role will evolve into a sales and marketing role or a purely marketing role. Or often, a firm will hire someone at graduate level and groom them into a marketing role. To enter marketing at a management level, you should generally have advertising or market research or PR experience.
