Interview Tips


In an interview you will need to show the interviewer that you are the right person for the job, and that you will be motivated to do the job successfully. You must convince the interviewer that you will not in any way conflict with the company’s structure or culture, and that you will be an important member of the team you will be assigned to.

You must carefully prepare for the job interview. Careful preparation will ensure that there is no question or subject that will trip you up.

  • Be on time for the interview.
  • Pay careful attention to your appearance – Dress smartly
  • Make sure you know the interviewer’s name
  • Know every aspect of your CV, and bring two copies of your CV with you.
  • Prior to the interview, take the time to research the company.
  • Be positive at the interview
  • State clearly what you feel you can bring to the role and the company.
  • Show good manners to all employees of the company


A Sample of Some Possible Questions:

  • Why are you changing your job? (It is important in your response not to be negative about your last job or employer)
  • Have you ever had a problem with a customer, a previous boss or co-worker, and if you did, how did you deal with the problem?
  • What would you consider to be your greatest achievements?
  • Are you comfortable with team work?
  • What sort of person are you? How would you define yourself?
